Richland Chambers Fishing Report for June 16th, 2013

facebook_136532164Summertime, Kids, Grandkids, Friends and LOTS of Fish!!!! That’s what it’s all about on Richland Chambers for the next couple of months!

I fished everyday this past week and Adam was on the Lake five times and it was “Easy Limits” on the White Bass every Morning Trip! I did conduct a couple of Afternoon Trips with good results (50-75 fish in the Cooler), but nothing like the non-stop action in the AM! The White Bass are doing a little Top Water Schooling some mornings, but most of our fish are still coming on the trusty RSR Silver and Chartreuse Slabs we use year around. ( ) If you’re looking for the fish, check out the Hwy 309 Flats early and then the Old Hwy 287 Roadbed late. Not much too report on the Crappie action as all our trips were centered around White Bass and a few Hybrid Stripers, but Summertime Crappie fishing usually results in a few fish in the box if you’re fishing the Bridges and Timber!

Adam and I are now only booking trips in the Mornings when it’s cool and pleasant!┬áThe Summer Heat in the Afternoon is normally too much for most folks (myself included). We’ll wait till the Fall to start up the Afternoon trips again. We have Weekday openings in July and even a Saturday available in July and August, but our June calendar is filled. Give us a call at 903-389-4117 or email us at simmonsroyce@ and we’ll get YOU on the calendar to do some Cathin’!

Have a Great Week!
