Richland Chambers Fishing Report for March 24th, 2013

Photo052The weather and wind and fishing all improved on RC last week as I was able to get in five (5) trips and Adam fished three (3). While we still had a couple of Cool Fronts move through and even a little rain on our Saturday Afternoon trips, this didn’t spoil the enthusiasm or FUN on any of the trips. The White Bass action improved dramatically from the previous week, but I’d still rate is as only Fair as there was only one trip where we had limits (25 fish per person), and on most trips we had to do quite a bit of looking before we did our Catchin’! The action is only going to get better as we move from Fair to Good fishing this month, and into what is normally EXCELLENT fishing in April and May. The Crappie fishing has been slow to improve but I’ve had a couple of reports of at least some Crappie being caught and then it seems to slow with each passing Cool Front. Looks like it will be April before the Crappie really get on their spawn!

We’ve been fortunate to have our Calendar get more and more full as folks realize that Spring is here and it’s time to go Fishing! The only Saturday opening we have between now and June is on Saturday, May 25th (Memorial Day Weekend) and if you want it, might let us know now as we always have a waiting list on the Holidays.  We have quite a few April Weekdays that are open and LOTS of May Weekdays we need to fill.

Thanks again to all who have already fished with us this year and we’re excited about seeing those of you who haven’t GONE FISHIN” yet!

Have a Great Week!

Royce & Adam Simmons
